InfiniteCAL is a BCC licensed analytical testing laboratory. We do not cultivate, produce, process, distribute nor sell cannabis or cannabis products.

InfiniteCAL offers safety and compliance testing services to cannabis industry professionals throughout California and CBD product manufacturers nationwide.

With passage of the Adult Use of Marijuana Act in 2016, the State of California now requires safety and dosage testing of both recreational and medical cannabis and cannabis products. Under the current Bureau of Cannabis Control Emergency Regulation Text (11/16/2017), the required testing will roll out in three phases starting with Phase I on January 1, 2018 and continuing with Phases II & III beginning in July 2018 and January 2019.

The laboratory shall test each representative sample for the following: (1) Cannabinoids; (2) Foreign material; (3) Heavy metals; (4) Microbial impurities; (5) Mycotoxins; (6) Moisture content and water activity, if applicable; (7) Residual pesticides; (8) Residual solvents and processing chemicals, if applicable; and (9) terpenoids, if labeled on product packaging.

The current draft regulations require laboratory personnel to perform representative sampling for all regulatory compliance testing.

For a harvest batch, regulations require that a sample weighing 0.35% of the total harvest batch weight at minimum be taken from each pre packaged or unpackaged batch. However, the lab may need to collect a larger sample in order to complete all required tests. Each harvest batch can weigh no more than 50 pounds. For manufactured cannabis products such as vape cartridges or edibles, the required samples are measured in units, and the number of units required for testing varies depending on the overall size of the product batch. Standard turnaround time for quality assurance testing is 2-3 days, with same-day and next-business-day expedited options available. Standard compliance turnaround is 3-5 days, with a 3-day-guarantee for any expedited samples.
